Capital Health Medical Center's programs that received the SRC’s Center of Excellence accreditation cover Colorectal Surgery, Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Joshua Eisenberg, chief physician executive of Capital Health, stated: “Being accredited by the SRC means that our qualifying surgeons, programs, and centers meet national and international standards for surgical excellence.” He emphasized the years spent building quality programs to provide advanced expertise.
SRC accreditation involves a thorough assessment process to ensure compliance with its standards. These include surgical volumes, equipment adequacy, clinical pathways, operating procedures standardization, patient education focus, and continuous quality evaluation. Inspectors also educate staff on best practices to enhance care services.
Gary M. Pratt, CEO of SRC commented: “We’re proud to recognize Capital Health for its commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients.” He noted that these accreditations indicate that the facility is among the best in these specialties.
Established in 2003 as a nonprofit organization focused on patient safety and surgical care refinement globally, SRC accredits hospitals and health professionals meeting proven standards worldwide.
