A series of donations to the Venture Forward campaign has enabled Princeton University to establish new athletic facilities in the Meadows Neighborhood, located on the West Windsor side of Lake Carnegie. This development extends the Princeton campus and promotes health and wellness across the university community. The facilities offer new competition venues and amenities for several varsity teams, including athletic performance spaces, sports medicine facilities, a student-athlete lounge, team locker rooms, and coaches' offices. All students and community members have access to the Wilkinson Fitness Center and other fitness areas.

“These state-of-the art athletics facilities help establish the Meadows Neighborhood as a distinctive Princeton space that complements our historic campus,” stated President Christopher L. Eisgruber ’83. “They demonstrate the University’s commitment to our student-athletes’ pursuit of excellence as well as to the health and well-being of all our students, staff and faculty. We are deeply grateful to the alumni and friends whose vision made this transformative expansion possible.”

The Meadows Neighborhood is a mixed-use development that also includes graduate student housing and a parking garage with 600 spaces. The Department of Athletics plays a significant role in developing this area on Washington Road. The new facilities will house Princeton's varsity squash, tennis, softball, and women's rugby teams, along with numerous club teams and intramural sports. The redesigned Meadows Campus Cross Country Course hosted the 2024 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross-Country Championships.

“These new facilities stand as a testament to Princeton’s investment in the student-athlete experience, and we are excited that Athletics is playing a central part in the University’s future as it expands its footprint,” said John Mack ’00, Ford Family Director of Athletics. “We are appreciative of the generous alumni who have helped launch this next phase of Princeton Athletics, in which these championship-caliber facilities further inspire our student-athletes to achieve, serve and lead.”

The Racquet and Recreation Fieldhouse serves as the centerpiece of this athletic hub. It spans 180,000 square feet for rugby, softball, squash, and tennis teams at Princeton. It offers optimized schedules for student-athletes while providing necessary support for individual and team success with consolidated locker rooms, coaches' offices, strength conditioning areas, sports medicine space under one roof.

Princeton's tennis teams now practice on nine indoor courts within Si Qin Family Indoor Tennis Center—named after donor Si Qin—and nine outdoor courts forming Cordish Family Outdoor Tennis Center on its east side. Combined seating accommodates up to 1,000 spectators; viewing decks honor contributing alumni supporters.

Inside fieldhouse premises lie fourteen new squash courts—two glass-walled exhibition ones having stadium seating—allowing multiple matches visible via upper-level walkway spanning complex length or ground-level gallery accessing each court directly suited program gatherings purposes alike tribute Bob Callahan ’77 Court recognizing legendary coach guiding men's team three national titles over thirty-two years tenure; adjacent areas acknowledge additional contributors enhancing facility construction efforts overall.
