New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, alongside Princeton University President Christopher L. Eisgruber and representatives from Microsoft, CoreWeave, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, inaugurated the NJ AI Hub designed to foster artificial intelligence innovation. Located on Alexander Road in West Windsor, the facility aims to bolster New Jersey's position as a leader in technology.

Governor Murphy stated, “With the opening of the NJ AI Hub, we are moving forward in establishing New Jersey as a global leader in technology and innovation." Key figures from Princeton University, including Hilary Parker, Jennifer Rexford, and Jeffrey Oakman, contributed to the Hub's development.

Eisgruber highlighted a prior announcement from December 2023, emphasizing the Hub's role in promoting AI innovation. The Hub has already hosted events involving over 500 leaders from various sectors. Eisgruber noted, “For Princeton, the New Jersey AI Hub provides an extraordinary opportunity to advance our teaching and research mission.”

In January, Microsoft and CoreWeave joined as founding partners, with Microsoft planning to bring its TechSpark empowerment program to the Hub. Brad Smith, Microsoft's vice chair, remarked on the Hub's potential to connect education and job creation in the state.

CoreWeave's Corey Sanders noted, “New Jersey’s AI Hub will accelerate the career journeys for so many promising stars in the state.” The Hub intends to focus on research, development, and workforce training, with over $72 million pledged by founding partners for its success.

Eisgruber added, “The Hub has vast potential to advance research and development, accelerate innovation, and strengthen AI education and workforce development.” Hilary Parker emphasized the collaborative efforts involved in bringing the Hub to fruition.
