In a series of tweets dated March 11, 2025, she addressed concerns regarding due process for Green Card holders, introduced legislation against discrimination based on hair texture and skin color, and commented on political actions involving the White House.

In a tweet posted on March 11, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman criticized actions taken by authorities: "Arresting him without a warrant is BS. Hanging up on his lawyer is BS. Transporting him across the country to separate him from his lawyer and his pregnant wife is BS." She further stated that the Trump Administration admitted these actions were due to political speech.
