Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the New Jersey Racing Commission have released the results from the recent Breeders Crown event held at the Meadowlands. The event, which took place on October 25 and 26, 2024, featured top standardbred horses from across North America competing in 12 finals.
The two-day event attracted a total attendance of 6,928 people. A record-breaking total wagering handle of $7,726,027 was reported for both nights.
Many of the champions from this year's Breeders Crown have connections to New Jersey. Eleven out of twelve winners were trained by trainers based at training centers in New Jersey. Additionally, five champions are partially owned by residents of the state, and three were sired by stallions standing at breeding farms within New Jersey.
Dexter Dunn, originally from New Zealand and now residing in New Jersey, achieved a notable milestone by driving six winning horses during the Breeders Crown finals.
