New Jersey gaming revenue rises but profits decline in Q1 2024

ATLANTIC CITY — According to filings with the Division of Gaming Enforcement, casino licensees reported Net Revenue of $769.9 million for the first quarter of 2024, a 1.8% increase over the same period last year. Gross Operating Profit for the first quarter of 2024 was $155.4 million, which represents an 8.7% decrease when compared to the first quarter of 2023.

The hotel occupancy rate in the industry’s casino hotels for the quarter ended March 31, 2024, was 64.8%, which is essentially flat when compared to the first quarter of 2023.
