Congressman Kim Holds 63rd Town Hall During AANHPI Heritage Month in Marlboro

MARLBORO, N.J. – On May 19, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) held his 63rd town hall at Marlboro High School, sharing updates on his work in Congress and celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month with neighbors.

Students and teachers from the Huaxia South Chinese School in Marlboro began the town hall with instrumental and dance performances, and the Congressman was introduced by the Mayor of Marlboro Township, Jon Hornik.

During the town hall, Congressman Kim recognized the importance and value of AANHPI Heritage Month, discussing his recent work in Congress to combat hate speech and violence. He also spoke about his ongoing work to ensure local veterans have access to mental healthcare and providing them more support as servicemembers' transition into civilian life. Additionally, the Congressman discussed protecting seniors’ social security benefits, gun violence prevention legislation, combating misinformation, and utilizing partnerships between social workers, mental healthcare professionals, and law enforcement to look out for everyone’s safety.
