Join the farmers at Howell Living History Farm on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Logging and Firewood Cutting!While farmers use horses to skid saw logs out of the woods and haul firewood to the sap house in preparation for maple sugaring season, visitors can cut and chop firewood, split locust logs into fence rails, and make real barn pegs for use in barn frames around the farm! Visitors can help by cutting and chopping firewood, splitting locust logs into fence rails, and making barn pegs for use in our barn frame.
Blacksmith Daniel Lapidow will also be working in the forge, shaping wrought iron into harness hooks, gate hinges, and other hardware needed on the farm. Parking and admission are free. For any questions call (609) 737-3299.
