Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, shared several tweets addressing economic issues and tax filing options for her constituents.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Coleman tweeted about the importance of an inclusive economy: "Everyone deserves an economy that allows them to grow, not one that exclusively benefits billionaires and corporations. My bill to expand the EITC makes caregivers and students eligible for the act’s benefits. Their work deserves to be valued. #EITCAwarenessDay". This tweet highlights her efforts to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) to include caregivers and students.

Later on the same day, she informed New Jersey residents about a tax filing resource: "New Jerseyans, this year you can file your taxes for free using IRS Direct File! Head over to https://t.co/1wUR1PmFSA to learn more!". This tweet encourages constituents to utilize free IRS resources for tax filing.
