Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman comments on Trump's actions and DC plane crash

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 12th district, has recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Watson Coleman has been an active voice in politics since she replaced Rush Holt Jr. in 2015.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman addressed recent political events involving former President Donald Trump. She stated: "After trying to hold up healthcare for 70 million Americans, cut off heating assistance for seniors, and strip local law enforcement of federal funding, Trump backed down." She emphasized the power of community action by concluding, "When communities come together to protect the people we care about, we win."

The following day, January 30, 2025, she expressed her concern regarding a plane crash in Washington D.C., tweeting: "Watching and praying for the victims of the plane crash in DC and all the first responders."

Later that day, Rep. Watson Coleman voiced her frustration over ongoing political discourse surrounding the crash. She remarked: "This is appalling. Victims' remains are still being recovered...Instead of leading, all he can do is make up racist lies to score political points with his base." She urged for decency amidst such tragic circumstances.
