Princeton University has announced the appointment of seven new members to its Board of Trustees, effective July 1. The newly elected trustees are Bob Peck and Anthony Yoseloff as charter trustees; Ann Chen and Anthony Romero as term trustees; Sarah Marie Michelle Bruno and Edward Felsenthal as alumni trustees; and Aisha Chebbi as a young alumni trustee.
Completing their terms on June 30 are Jackson Artis, Pete Briger, Janeria Easley, Henri Ford, Philip U. Hammarskjold, Carla Vernón, and Melissa Wu.
Sarah Marie Michelle Bruno is an assistant research scientist in physics and astronomy at Johns Hopkins University. Her work focuses on building cosmology telescopes in Chile’s Atacama Desert to observe the cosmic microwave background. She serves on the American Astronomical Society’s Committee for the Protection of Astronomy and the Space Environment and co-chairs its subcommittee on electromagnetic interference. Bruno earned her Ph.D. in physics from Princeton in 2021.
Aisha Chebbi recently graduated from Princeton with a degree in medical anthropology. She served as co-president of the Muslim Students Association and was involved in various student organizations including Partners in Health Engage and the Princeton Arab Society. Chebbi completed an internship at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, in Geneva, Switzerland, and is currently a Fulbright Scholar in Germany.
Ann Chen was a partner at Bain & Company for 22 years before becoming an independent adviser to family foundations and nonprofit organizations. She has worked across Boston, Paris, and Hong Kong offices of Bain & Company where she founded its nonprofit practice across greater China. Chen received her B.S.E. from Princeton in 1989.
Edward Felsenthal is senior advisor at Salesforce's Office of the CEO and former editor-in-chief of TIME magazine. He began his career at The Wall Street Journal where he oversaw coverage that led to two Pulitzer Prizes. Felsenthal received his A.B., J.D., and master’s degree from Princeton University’s School of Public Affairs, Harvard Law School, and Tufts University's Fletcher School respectively.
Bob Peck is managing director of FPR Partners which he co-founded in San Francisco in 2003. He previously managed portfolios for Perot Investments among other roles within investment firms based out of Dallas. Peck holds an A.B. from Princeton University obtained in 1988.
Anthony Romero has been executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union since September 2001 overseeing expansions into litigation, lobbying among other areas while being recognized as its first Latino openly gay leader since inception holding degrees from Stanford Law School (J.D.) along with receiving Woodrow Wilson Award given by Princeton recognizing undergraduate alumni achievements post-graduation initially earning his A.B degree back during late '80s
Anthony Yoseloff serves Davidson Kempner Capital Management operating globally managing $38 billion worth assets additionally contributing towards New York Public Library board also chairing investment committee alongside being part New York-Presbyterian healthcare system boards having academic credentials ranging across Columbia Law School MBA/ JD programs plus prior involvement serving term trustee role till recent past four-year tenure concluded last month making notable donations towards campus facilities improvements through named dormitory gift initiative
The Board carries fiduciary responsibility ensuring university's educational research mission perpetuated derived original Charter dating back mid-18th century encompassing standing committees addressing diverse domains such academic affairs finance student life health athletics operational oversight among others delineated within governing bylaws resolutions periodically enacted maintaining institutional integrity aligned broader legislative framework contextual relevance contemporary higher education landscape
