Princeton University seniors Travis Kanoa Chai Andrade, Alison Parish, Meera Burghardt, and Isabella Moscoe have been awarded fellowships from ReachOut 56-81-06, an alumni-funded effort that supports seniors to complete a public service project of their design during the year after graduation.
Chai Andrade, an anthropology major, was awarded the ReachOut Domestic Fellowship. He will be working in Hawai‘i with nonprofit organizations to develop long-term heritage stewardship plans aimed at returning land to Native Hawaiian communities. Chai Andrade, a Kanaka ʻŌiwi (Native Hawaiian), has a strong academic background and a history of involvement in Native Hawaiian communities.
Parish received the ReachOut International Fellowship and will be working in Paris with a nonprofit to enhance women's health education accessibility and awareness for Black immigrant communities in France. Parish, a major in anthropology and a certificate holder in French, has a track record of engagement in civic programs and international experiences.
Burghardt and Moscoe are co-recipients of the ReachOut Paschen Pair Fellowship. They will collaborate with the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness in South Africa to address health disparities, improve healthcare access, and tackle environmental health challenges. Both students have a background in public affairs and previous experience working with organizations in Africa.
These four seniors have demonstrated a commitment to public service and a dedication to making a positive impact in communities locally and globally. Their diverse projects reflect their academic interests and their desire to contribute meaningfully to society as they embark on their post-graduation endeavors.
