Congratulations to MCCC Women’s Soccer player Lisa Schroeder, who has been selected as the National Girls and Women in Sports (NGWS) Woman of the Year Award Winner! Schroeder, a sophomore from Leiferde, Germany, was honored at Seton Hall University on Saturday, February 18.
The anchor of a defense that propelled the Vikings to the first undefeated (14-0) season in school history, Schroeder also earned 1st Team All-Region 19 honors and was also named the Region 19 Women’s Soccer Player of the Year this Fall. Her success on the pitch matched her success in the classroom, as she finished the Fall semester with a 4.0 GPA and earned President’s List honors.
