In our backyards, school playgrounds, cities, farms, and parks, wildlife is all around. Sometimes it is easy to forget that we share our beautiful planet with some pretty amazing creatures. We are their stewards and living in harmony is the goal. This #WorldWildlifeDay, let’s pledge to be more considerate and responsible in our efforts to SAVE WILD.

There are so many ways we can make this Earth we call home a better place for all living things - it can seem overwhelming. But here are a few, easy ideas to get started in your own community.

- Learn more about how to more peacefully co-exist with local wildlife: https://bit.ly/3y7DpZ2

- Make your backyard a wildlife haven: https://bit.ly/3y5fVn0

- If you cannot reuse – reduce and recycle!- Avoid harmful chemicals in your yard and home.- Consider supporting the important, rehabilitative work of the Mercer County Wildlife Center by making a donation: http://www.wildlifecenterfriends.org/donate

- If you do not have money to give, donate your time. Many organizations have volunteer programs. You can help clean beaches, rescue wild animals or educate visitors.
