Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 12th district, shared her thoughts through a series of tweets. She has been active in the political landscape since replacing Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 and previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Coleman currently resides in Ewing Township and holds a degree from Thomas Edison State University.

On April 18, 2025, Coleman voiced her concerns over statements made by Donald Trump and Marco Rubio about potentially "abandoning peace talks between Russia and Ukraine if it takes longer than a few days." She expressed apprehension that they might be sending the wrong message to Russia, encouraging them to delay negotiations by highlighting that "if they just hold out a few weeks the U.S. is going to abandon the peace process." On April 21, 2025, Coleman expressed her solidarity with millions of Catholics mourning the passing of Pope Francis I. She acknowledged Pope Francis's impact and inspirational spirit, noting that he "inspired millions with his compassion for the outcast and oppressed" and "reinvigorated the faith of many." (source).
