Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 12th district, expressed her concerns regarding issues like military security, unlawful detention, and labor rights through her recent tweets. Serving since 2015, Watson Coleman has previously been a member of the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010.

On March 27, 2025, Watson Coleman tweeted about the sharing of classified military plans on an unsecured network, which she claimed endangered American service members. She questioned the Department of Justice (DOJ) leadership's response, arguing, "This kind of incompetence is unacceptable." She suggested that Congress should hold hearings if the DOJ leadership is deemed too partisan to address these issues.

On March 28, 2025, she posted another tweet criticizing the justification of illegal detentions based on students writing in newspapers. She warned against politically motivated arrests, emphasizing that "politically motivated arrests violate our very fundamental constitutional rights - and have no place in our country."

Later the same day, Watson Coleman addressed issues concerning labor rights in a tweet. She criticized former President Trump’s alleged illegal attempts to undermine unions, suggesting that he was emulating the tactics of President Musk. She asserted that federal workers have a right to collective bargaining, which improves both their work conditions and the quality of their contributions.
