Princeton University has released a new report titled “Forging New Paths,” highlighting the impact of its Venture Forward campaign in 2024. This campaign emphasizes the university's commitment to liberal arts, knowledge expansion across disciplines, and collaboration in various fields including science, art, and public policy.
The Venture Forward campaign aims to deepen alumni engagement, communicate Princeton’s service to humanity, and secure philanthropic support for strategic initiatives. The report showcases significant contributions from alumni and friends through Annual Giving, with over 35,000 contributors raising $66.7 million in unrestricted funds last year.
These funds have enabled Princeton to expand programs such as the Learning and Education through Service (LENS) initiative, which offers paid service internships to undergraduates. Additionally, the no-loan financial aid program benefited 71.5% of students in the Class of 2028.
Flexible funding also supported faculty recruitment and research initiatives in areas like precision health and artificial intelligence. Undergraduates were able to engage in essential research activities thanks to these resources.
Alumni engagement is highlighted by volunteer participation numbers: 27,083 volunteers are involved in class activities and community service while 7,146 alumni conducted interviews for prospective students.
Major gifts during the campaign facilitated projects such as dedicating the Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute and establishing new named professorships. Other developments include the Africa World Initiative and improvements in student facilities like Frist Health Center.
The report also notes efforts to enhance financial aid so that all undergraduates can graduate debt-free. It includes expansions such as new housing facilities at Meadows Neighborhood and a reimagined art museum on campus.
