The Wall Street Journal has published its 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. list, placing The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) among the top 20 percent of institutions nationwide. TCNJ achieved recognition as the leading public college in New Jersey and ranked second only to Princeton University among all institutions in the state.

The WSJ rankings evaluate 500 colleges and universities across the United States. The methodology focuses on student outcomes, such as salaries, and the learning environment, which includes feedback from student surveys.
