Governor Phil Murphy has introduced the Garden State Community Outreach, a statewide initiative aimed at informing New Jersey residents about available state resources. The campaign is designed to assist eligible individuals and families in accessing programs that enhance affordability and provide essential health services.

Since 2018, Governor Murphy's administration has collaborated with legislative partners to establish or expand numerous programs. These initiatives aim to improve access to healthcare and mental health services while boosting overall affordability. To ensure widespread awareness, American Rescue Plan funds have been allocated for a marketing and outreach initiative targeting every eligible resident.

Governor Murphy emphasized the commitment of his administration to build a stronger New Jersey where all families have equal opportunities. "Whether it’s through affordable high-quality health care, access to nutritional food, assistance with utility payments, or historic levels of tax relief, we are leveraging these vital resources to build more resilient communities," he stated.

First Lady Tammy Murphy highlighted efforts like Connecting NJ and Family Connects NJ that focus on providing vital services for mothers and infants in New Jersey. She expressed enthusiasm for the new marketing effort aimed at reaching every family across the state.

The campaign includes a comprehensive awareness strategy featuring a landing page that helps residents identify eligibility for various programs. A team of canvassers will conduct door-to-door outreach starting September 9 and participate in community events to promote these resources further.

Garden State Community Outreach will promote programs across multiple departments, offering access to affordable healthcare, mental health services, utility assistance, tax benefits, and Family Connects NJ—a service delivering nurses to new families' homes.
