Governor Murphy has expressed his satisfaction with the State Senate's confirmation of John Jay Hoffman as an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. The Governor highlighted Hoffman's bipartisan support and described him as a person of "honesty, integrity, and intellect."

Hoffman has had a notable career, holding several high-ranking positions at both federal and state levels. He served as the Acting Attorney General of New Jersey for nearly three years. Governor Murphy emphasized that Hoffman's appointment will maintain the tradition of partisan balance within the state's highest court.

The Governor also acknowledged the efforts of Senate President Scutari, Senate Minority Leader Bucco, and Senate Judiciary Chairman Stack in supporting Hoffman's nomination. He expressed confidence that Justice Hoffman will enhance the New Jersey Supreme Court's reputation as a national model.
