Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, and the New Jersey delegation concluded their economic mission in Montréal, organized by Choose New Jersey. The delegation aimed to strengthen economic and cultural ties between New Jersey and Canada while exploring opportunities for investment and growth in fintech, artificial intelligence (AI), and life sciences.

During the visit, Governor Murphy delivered a keynote address at the Canada FinTech Forum. He emphasized the potential for New Jersey and Québec to influence future alliances between Canada and America. A notable outcome of this event was the announcement of a partnership between Finance Montréal and Stevens Institute of Technology. This collaboration aims to foster innovation by connecting industry leaders from both regions.

The Governor also discussed potential collaborations between BIOQuébec and BioNJ, focusing on investing in students, doctors, and innovators to advance discoveries and treatments.

A new partnership was announced between CGI Canada and Rowan University. This initiative seeks to leverage expertise in information technology and generative AI, supported by CGI Canada's contributions towards student development.

Governor Murphy met with Innovobot to discuss collaborative innovation efforts aimed at transforming finance and technology sectors for the benefit of families in both regions. Additionally, he participated in a roundtable with IVADO to explore future possibilities in artificial intelligence and expanding innovation economies between Canada and New Jersey.
