Governor Murphy signs bill revising property tax relief statutes

Governor Murphy has enacted new legislation, identified as A-4706/S-3693, which revises statutes related to property tax relief programs. This legislative action follows recommendations from the Stay NJ Task Force.

The bill was introduced by several lawmakers including Coughlin, Greenwald, Freiman, Swain, Katz, Donlon, Peterpaul, Bailey, Simmons, Drulis in the Assembly and Scutari and Turner in the Senate.

"Revises statutes implementing certain property tax relief programs pursuant to recommendations promulgated by Stay NJ Task Force," reads a statement associated with the bill.

This move is part of ongoing efforts to address property tax issues within New Jersey.
