Hambletonian Day sees high attendance and significant wagers

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the New Jersey Racing Commission have announced the results from the 99th Hambletonian Day, held on August 3, 2024, at the Meadowlands. The event saw a total handle of $7,427,370 and was attended by 16,465 visitors.

The $1 million Hambletonian race was won by Karl, driven by Yannick Gingras and trained by Nancy Takter. In the $525,000 Hambletonian Oaks, Warrawee Michelle emerged victorious with Ake Svanstedt serving as both driver and trainer.

Both winning horses were stabled and trained at off-track training facilities in New Jersey.
