City Department of Recreations Announces Summer Community Events

Trenton, N.J. - The City of Trenton Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture is proud to announce its slate of activities and offerings for summer 2023!

Join us for Movies Under the Stars on Thursday evenings at 8PM at various parks throughout the City! See the attached flyer for more information, including locations for each film screening and details on other Movies Under the Stars activities. This Thursday, 6/29, they’ll be showing Shazam! Fury of the Gods at Cooper Field. Other films being shown later in the summer include Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. 

Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the summer, Take it to the Streets for a Neighborhood Block Party! Each block party runs from 4-8PM, with specific dates and locations detailed on the flyer below. This week, join Monday 6/26 at 120 Academy St., and Wednesday 6/28 at 1140 Greenwood Ave. Enjoy outdoor activities such as basketball, skateboarding, moon bounce, face painting, and more!

Music lovers: enjoy live music at our Summer Concert Series on Fridays and Saturdays! Specific dates, locations, and performers are listed on the flyer below. This week, come see the Joe Baione Quartet perform on Friday, 6/30 at Villa Park from 6-8PM, as well as SideBySol at Caldwalader Park from 5-7PM on Saturday, 7/1. 

Don’t forget to stay fit! Tuesdays throughout the summer, the City is sponsoring Tuesday Fun Fitness. Learn about and enjoy fun ways to stay fit throughout the summer months. Activities will include Zumba Classes, Dance Dance Bzingo, and more! More details are on the flyer below. This week, come join from 6-7PM at Mill Hill Park!
