WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 2, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced that Aiden Wan, a 9th grader from The Peddie School in Hightstown, is New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District’s 2023 Congressional Art Competition winner.

“I am honored every year to help showcase incredible local artists like Aiden and am excited to welcome him to Washington soon so he can see his art hanging on the walls of our Capitol,” said Congressman Kim. “I was excited to see the submissions at our art showcase last month and meet many of the local student artists. I hope to see more of their impressive art in next year’s competition. It is amazing to see such talent across our district and I am grateful to every student who participated.”
The Congressional Art Competition is held each spring and is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The competition is open to all high school students, and the winning artwork is displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on the House of Representatives' Congressional Art Competition webpage.
Previous Congressional Art Competition winners from New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District include Jeremy Henskens, a student of Burlington County Institute of Technology, Kathleen Palmer, a former student of Shawnee High School in Medford, and Kaeleigh Mackiewicz, a former student of Cinnaminson High School in Cinnaminson.
Congressman Kim is the Ranking Member on the Military Personnel Subcommittee, and a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Select Committee on China.
