The Mercer County Park Commission loves and values our trees! Native trees provide many benefits such as storing carbon dioxide, requiring less watering and fertilizer than ornamental trees, and providing food and shelter for native wildlife. However, some pathogens such as invasive insects like emerald ash borer, or harmful fungi like oak wilt, can weaken or kill our trees. Dead or dying trees that become hazardous must be removed for the safety of parkgoers. Please bear with us while we remove hazard trees.
