8.3 percent of The College of New Jersey students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 8.3 percent of The College of New Jersey students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The College of New Jersey has 7,048 undergraduate students, of which 57 percent are women and 43 percent are men, and a total student body of 7,686 students. Of these students, 330 men and 309 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at The College of New Jersey with the most participants are all track combined (247), football (78) and swimming and diving (59).
