The TCNJ women’s track and field team competed at the Liberty Open in Lynchburg, Virginia, adjusting their schedule to finish the event in one day due to heavy snowfall expected in the region. The team recorded three national top-ten times in NCAA Division III competition.

In the 200-meter race, Garcia-Beltran ran a time of 24.65 seconds. This performance is now the second-best in TCNJ program history and ranks as the fifth-fastest time nationally this season for Division III athletes.

Kelly O’Grady secured another top-ten national mark for TCNJ by running 2:16.60 in the 800 meters, which currently stands as the seventh-best Division III time. Brenna Omert also finished in the top ten of that event with a ninth-place result and a time of 2:21.54.

The relay team consisting of Kelsey Thomas, Kelly O’Grady, Brenna Omert, and Rukky Daranijo achieved a time of 3:55.52 in the 4×400 meter relay. This result places them sixth among all Division III teams this season.

Rukky Daranijo led TCNJ runners in the 400 meters with a season-best of 1:00.16, while Brenna Casais set a personal record at 1:02.36.

Alex Grivas established a new personal best in the 1000 meters with a time of 3:05.23, finishing fourteenth overall and ahead of all other Division III competitors participating in that race.

The TCNJ track and field team is scheduled to compete next at the Hound Classic on January 24 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
