The TCNJ women’s track and field team participated in the Hound Classic at Moravian, achieving several event wins and top-ten finishes.
On the track, Taylor Rooney placed fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:32.02. Malissa Morabito finished seventh overall in the mile, posting a time of 5:35.20 and was the fastest Division III runner in that event. Sarah Scepkowski took sixth place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.25 seconds. Alissa Stumpf won the 5000 meters, finishing more than 40 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor with a time of 17:51.74.
In field events, Erin McGauley won the triple jump with a personal record distance of 10.65 meters. Allison Lavin secured third place in the shot put (11.90 meters) and finished seventh in the weight throw (14.56 meters). Sarah Scepkowski also claimed victory in the high jump, setting a personal record at 1.63 meters. Lia Malave won the long jump with a mark of 5.43 meters, while Emersen Levins earned fifth place in pole vault by clearing 3.02 meters.
The Lions’ performance at Moravian follows their recent successes at another meet held in Virginia.
