TCNJ men’s soccer player Matt Will and men’s cross country runner Josh Santiago have been named NJAC Rookies of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office.
Will contributed two goals and two assists during an undefeated weekend for the Lions. He scored his first collegiate goal in TCNJ’s opener against Immaculata after receiving a pass from Aidan Ayar, and later added another goal and two assists in a 6-0 victory over Penn State Berks.
Santiago made his debut by finishing fifth in the 5K with a time of 16:08.1. He was the top-finishing freshman at the meet, coming in just half a second behind teammate Brandon Chen for second place.
The men’s soccer team is scheduled to play Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, September 6. The men’s cross country team will compete next at the Herb Lorenz Invitational on Friday, September 12.
