TCNJ’s women’s swimming and diving team reduced the point gap between themselves and Stevens Institute of Technology during the second day of competition at the TCNJ Invitational in Ewing, New Jersey.

Shaye Bundonis secured a victory for TCNJ in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.36, finishing about one-and-a-half seconds ahead of her closest competitor. The team also ended the evening with another win in the 800 freestyle relay. Although Stevens’ A relay initially finished first, it was later disqualified. This gave the TCNJ relay team—Sarah Mandy, Katie Mazzacco, Mary Kate Owens, and Bridget Cleveland—the top spot.

Sophomore Emma Vindigni won the B final in the 100 breaststroke by clocking in at 1:14.6.

In diving events, Beth Evaldi led with a first-place score of 431.55 on the 1-meter board, followed by Melody Lin in second place with a score of 389.50. Hannah Simons placed fifth (370.15), while Jenna Ringel finished seventh (327.80).

The invitational concludes tomorrow with preliminary races starting at 9 a.m., diving at 11:00 a.m., and finals beginning at 2:00 p.m.
