The TCNJ men’s swimming team achieved four All-American finishes on March 20, maintaining their eighth-place standing at the 2026 Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis.
This performance is significant as it highlights both individual and team milestones for the Lions during a highly competitive national event. The team’s continued presence among the top programs underscores their consistency and depth.
Two of the All-American honors came from relay events. In the 200 medley relay, Andrew Kidchob, Tyler McGeehan, Joe McChesney, and M.J. Hoban finished sixth with a time of 1:27.93. The 800 freestyle relay saw Steven Bendoraitis, Matt Liotti, Kyle Brushaber, and Gabe Beverini secure a sixteenth-place finish in 6:39.60. As a result, Liotti, Brushaber, and Beverini earned their first career All-American citations.
Individually, Kidchob reached his first individual final in the 100 backstroke during his last collegiate event. He placed ninth in preliminaries to qualify for the B final and finished thirteenth overall in the evening session. Kidchob concludes his college career as an eight-time All-American.
McChesney set new program records in the 200 butterfly twice on the same day—first with a time of 1:47.31 in prelims to reach the B final, then lowering it further to 1:47.26 for ninth place nationally.
The Lions’ achievements on day three reflect both personal milestones and strong teamwork as they continue to compete at a high level.
