TCNJ men’s swimming wins all finals on second day of invitational

The TCNJ men’s swimming and diving team extended its lead during the second day of the TCNJ Invitational in Ewing, New Jersey. The Lions secured victories in every championship final for the second consecutive day.

The day’s events began with the 200 Medley Relay. A disqualification of TCNJ’s A relay led to a win for the B relay team consisting of Mason Bushay, Gabe Beverini, Derin Ozbas, and Bradley Frank, who finished with a time of 1:32.43.

In individual events, Gavin Formon recorded a time of 3:59.54 in the 400 IM. Joe McChesney achieved another NCAA B cut time in the 100 Fly with a finish of 48.26 seconds. Riley Smith won the 200 Free at 1:41.36, while Tyler McGeehan posted the fastest time in the 100 Breast at 56.90 seconds. Andrew Kidchob was victorious in the 100 Back with a time of 50.09 seconds.

The session concluded with another win for TCNJ in the 800 Free Relay, as Gabe Beverini, Kyle Brushaber, M.J. Hoban, and Matthew Liotti finished at 6:44.90.

In diving events, Wyatt Marble scored 303.40 points, Josh Bouchard had 275.15 points, and Joshua Kosukhin earned a score of 266.20.

The invitational is set to conclude tomorrow with preliminaries beginning at 9 a.m., diving at 11 a.m., and finals scheduled for 2 p.m.
