Katie Fricker, a senior on the TCNJ women’s basketball team, has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. This marks her first time receiving this recognition. Earlier in the week, Fricker was also honored as NJAC Player of the Week.

Fricker played a key role for the Lions during a successful week, averaging 19.5 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game in two conference wins by more than 30 points each. She scored a career-high 24 points in TCNJ’s 33-point win over Montclair State, which is now the largest margin of victory in the history of that matchup. In another game against New Jersey City on Senior Day, she recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds along with five assists as TCNJ won 95-55.

Across both games, Fricker made half her shots from the field (10-of-20), hit three three-pointers, and converted all 16 of her free throw attempts.

The Lions will play again on Wednesday, January 21 against William Paterson at 5:30 p.m.
