Census Bureau: 78.5% of people in Mercer County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 384,951 citizens living in Mercer County in 2021, 78.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 302,290 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 146,817 were male, constituting 48.6%, and 155,473 were female, making up 51.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Mercer County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
