Great to see so many members of our community in attendance as we kicked off our celebration of Black History Month with a lovely ceremony and luncheon held at the James Kerney Campus in downtown Trenton!
Speakers from MCCC's faculty and staff included Lucia Brown-Joseph, who recited a poem by Maya Angelou. We were also joined by Mercer graduate Gwendolyn Trueheart, who performed an interpretive dance to the song "Greatest Love of All" and Pastor Gerald Truehart, who spoke on the history and meaning of this month.
Please join us throughout the month of February, as we continue to celebrate Black History Month! Students, alumni and community members are encouraged to attend. The full listing of events can be found by visiting mccc.edu/bhm.
