We continue celebrating our volunteers with our Strike Out Hunger Committee Spotlights. Meet Cathy Snyder, Founder & Executive Director, Rolling Harvest Food Rescue. Learn more about Cathy's volunteerism.

How did you get involved with SOH?

I was invited by United Way to be part of the SOH committee, representing Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, a nonprofit organization that prioritizes access to the freshest and healthiest food over the usual packaged convenient food that is typically donated to many food pantries. We will also be welcoming many participating SOH community members to our partner Farms to glean fresh produce for immediate donation and distribution to the most underserved communities.

What inspires you to volunteer in your community?

I’m inspired to use my energy and creativity to make a difference wherever possible, to make things just a little bit fairer, and more just for so many people who are struggling.
