Meet Carole Bursac, AVP Branch Manager,
Investors Bank a division of Citizens Bank. Learn more about Carole's volunteerism.
How did you get involved with SOH?
My involvement with Strike Out Hunger began when I joined Investors Bank. I learned when I was volunteering with Mercer Street Friends just how important it was to supply food to the community; not just during the holidays but every day. In the summer, so many students lose the support of schools who supply free breakfast and lunch throughout the school year. Strike Out Hunger focuses on food insecurity throughout the summer so these families are continually supported.
What inspires you to volunteer in your community?
I have been volunteering for many years. My mom and dad set the example for us to follow, and I have instilled this in my son. Those in need may look just like you and me so we should never judge one another. I am inspired by the NFP community and the impact each NFP has on our community.
Thanks, Carole for your commitment!
