Maxim Rychkov set a new program record in the 400-meter race at the Lions Indoor Invitational, leading The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) men’s track and field team at the event held in New York City. Rychkov won the 400m with a time of 47.95 seconds, surpassing the previous school record by about half a second. His performance currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division III and 23rd across all NCAA divisions.

Noah Traverso finished second to Rychkov in the same event, clocking in at 49.03 seconds, which is now the 16th-fastest time in Division III and within the NCAA top-100 marks.

Jayvee Dumas achieved a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, placing fifth with a time of 8.54 seconds. In the 200 meters, Tyler Seaton and Zach Salib also posted personal records and finished among the top ten; Seaton placed sixth with a time of 22.85 seconds while Salib took ninth at 23.07 seconds.

Brody Dillich completed the 800 meters in under two minutes, finishing sixth with a time of 1:59.17. Victor Akinboboye ran a time of 35.54 seconds in the 300 meters, which is currently ranked as the 18th-best mark in Division III. Anthony Senatore was TCNJ’s top finisher in the 500 meters, placing seventh with a time of 1:06.36.

In long-distance events, TCNJ’s cross country athletes performed strongly following their recent championship season. Brandon Chen finished third in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:38.71, followed closely by Phil Pace (fourth, 8:38.76), Kevin Matthews (seventh, 8:46.61), Josh Santiago (tenth, 8:50.29), Evan Melito (eleventh, 8:52.87), and Anthony Guarino (fifteenth, 9:07.72). All six runners posted times ranked within Division III’s top-100 for that event.

In field events, Jayvee Dumas placed third in pole vault with a height of 4.55 meters—a result that now stands as the twenty-second best mark nationally in Division III this season.

Tyler Meier was TCNJ’s top high jumper at ninth place with a leap of 1.80 meters; Ryan Donnelly (ninth place) and Juan Alino (tenth) led TCNJ’s efforts in long jump with marks of 6.34 and 6.14 meters respectively.

In throwing events, Braden Paulmenn secured third place in shot put with a distance of 15.38 meters while Christian Farhat followed closely behind for fourth at 14.41 meters; both athletes also earned fourth and fifth places respectively in weight throw—Paulmenn threw for 13.98 meters and Farhat for 13.64 meters.
