She noted, “Republican leadership tried to block a Republican-led measure…” Watson Coleman criticized the failure, describing it as “utter incompetence.”

Later the same day, she criticized actions taken by Trump administration officials regarding military servicemembers’ safety. In her words, “The incompetence of this is staggering…” and described it as “absolutely shameful.”

In a tweet posted at 11:28 PM on April 1st, Rep. Watson Coleman expressed pride in Sen. Cory Booker’s achievement. She recounted, “The record @SenBooker just broke…” acknowledging both the historical significance and its reflective change in social justice.
