Later that day, Rep. Coleman acknowledged a heroic act by a New Jersey native involved in rescue operations during the Texas floods. She wrote about Scott Ruskan, a Coast Guard rescue swimmer who saved numerous lives: “New Jersey native and Coast Guard rescue swimmer Scott Ruskan and his team saved 165 people in Texas during his first rescue mission with the USCG.” Rep. Coleman expressed gratitude for his courage and service.
