Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, posted a series of tweets on December 18, 2025, addressing military housing allowances and legislative gridlock over healthcare tax credits.

In her first tweet at 17:19 UTC, Rep. Watson Coleman criticized the so-called “warrior dividend,” writing, “Wow! This so-called ‘warrior dividend’ is no more than rebranded military housing allowances. Money already allocated by Congress in the reconciliation package and meant to help service members afford housing.

Trump isn’t giving our brave service members a bonus, he’s just https://t.co/dbNqJjwfCT“.

Shortly after, at 17:34 UTC, she posted another message containing only a link: “https://t.co/Olzp2mYjuf”.

Later that day at 18:09 UTC, Rep. Watson Coleman addressed legislative action on healthcare tax credits: “A bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives supports extending ACA tax credits, yet Speaker Johnson refuses to bring this bill to a vote.

The American people deserve better than this. https://t.co/tloL0GeSs6“.

Watson Coleman has served in Congress since succeeding Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 and previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. She was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1945 and currently resides in Ewing Township. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State University in 1985.
