Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who represents New Jersey’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to comment on voting rights, government corruption, and surveillance legislation.
On April 15, 2026, Watson Coleman wrote: “Under the Republican’s so-called SAVE America Act, millions of women would face barriers to voting and registering to vote. On April 17, Watson Coleman commented on recent legislative activity regarding surveillance laws: “The FISA renewal vote was originally scheduled for Wednesday, then it was pushed to Thursday afternoon, then Thursday night, then was held until 2:15 in the morning.

Watson Coleman has served in Congress since 2015 after succeeding Rush Holt Jr., following an earlier tenure in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. Born in Camden in 1945 and currently residing in Ewing Township at age 78, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State University in 1985.
