Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, shared her views and announcements on social media recently.
On July 8, 2025, Rep. Coleman expressed concern about a plan attributed to former President Trump. She highlighted the impact of this plan on veterans in New Jersey, stating “There are over 200,000 veterans in NJ alone. They served our country honorably. So how does Trump plan to repay them? By firing 30,000 workers — many of whom are veterans themselves — who help provide the benefits they’ve earned.” She also referenced a controversial statement made by Trump, saying “When Trump said ‘suckers and losers’ he meant it.”
Later that day, she reminded her constituents about an upcoming event hosted by her office. In a tweet posted at 18:22 UTC on July 8, she stated “Hi folks! Reminder that my office is holding a Hybrid Office Hours TOMORROW from 11am-2pm in Trenton.” The event offers both virtual participation via Zoom and an in-person option at the Trenton Public Library.
In another post shortly after at 18:26 UTC on the same day, Rep. Coleman shared a link without additional commentary here.
Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman has been actively involved in legislative matters since taking over from Rush Holt Jr., with her career rooted deeply in public service including her tenure in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010.
