Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, has used her social media platform to comment on recent developments involving Donald Trump Jr., government investment funds, and the ongoing issue of gun violence.

On December 12, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman posted about Donald Trump Jr.’s involvement with an investment fund: “Donald Trump Jr. joined an investment fund called 1789 Capital just last year. Since then, the fund has grown to more than $ 1 billion. And that growth has a lot to do with its new access to government money.

Later that day, she directed followers to additional commentary on related topics by sharing: “For more of my Trump Corruption World Tour series click here: https://t.co/JcEyNZALIB” (December 12, 2025).

On December 14, following reports of a violent incident, Rep. Watson Coleman expressed condolences and advocated for legislative action: “Praying for the victims of today’s attack.

It doesn’t have to be like this. We don’t have to constantly live with the threat of mass gun violence hanging over our heads.

We all deserve better. And we can make it better with some common sense and a bit of courage. https://t.co/gUCn9oXZVU“.

Watson Coleman’s remarks come amid her ongoing tenure in Congress, where she succeeded Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 after previously serving in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. Born in Camden in 1945 and currently residing in Ewing Township, she holds a BA from Thomas Edison State University earned in 1985.
