Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who represents New Jersey’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of political and economic issues in a series of posts on her official social media account.

On December 9, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman posted: “This president will sell out on anything he claims to stand for if it means he benefits in some way— at the cost of the American people.”

The following day, she focused on health care affordability, writing on December 10, 2025: “Health care tax credits that help families afford coverage expire on December 31. Without action, monthly premiums will skyrocket.

I’m fighting right now to make sure we get this done and prevent huge cost increases for families in the 12th District.”

Later that same day, Rep. Watson Coleman commented on statements made by former President Donald Trump regarding economic concerns: “Last night in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump called concerns over affordability a “hoax” and denied that prices are rising or that American families are suffering.

This came just days after Trump graded the sputtering economy as an “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus.”

You deserve better”

Watson Coleman has served as a member of Congress since replacing Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 and previously held office in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. She was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1945 and currently resides in Ewing Township. Watson Coleman earned her BA from Thomas Edison State University in 1985.
