Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 12th district, posted a series of tweets in early February 2026 addressing issues of political corruption and cancer awareness.

On February 3, 2026, Rep. Watson Coleman commented on allegations of corruption involving an unnamed individual, stating, “This was just one of his schemes from his corruption tour.” In a related post on the same day, she referenced her previous discussions about the issue: “I talked about this corrupt deal back in July when reporting first emerged. Selling out national security for personal gain? What could be more dangerous? And what’s to say he wont do it again?”

Shifting focus to health advocacy, Rep. Watson Coleman shared her personal experience with cancer on February 5, 2026: “Early detection saved my life, and early screenings save thousands of lives every year. I’ll keep fighting to ensure others have the same chance I had to catch any signs of cancer before it’s too late, and to be able to afford to do so. #WorldCancerDay”

Watson Coleman has served in Congress since 2015 after succeeding Rush Holt Jr., following prior service in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. She was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1945 and currently resides in Ewing Township. In addition to her legislative work, she is an alumna of Thomas Edison State University.
