Princeton University recognized 549 employees for their years of service and outstanding achievements during its annual Service Recognition Luncheon held on March 25.

The event highlights the dedication and commitment of Princeton staff members, whose work supports the university’s teaching and research mission. Employees were honored for reaching service milestones in 2025, with recognition beginning at ten years of employment and continuing in five-year increments.

Romy Riddick, vice president for human resources, said during the ceremony, “Coming together today to honor our remarkable honorees and award recipients serves as a touching reminder of what makes working here at Princeton so uniquely rewarding.” Riddick also said, “As Princeton staff members, your roles play a crucial part in furthering the University’s teaching and research mission. You embody a committed, skilled, diverse workforce that deserves to be celebrated for your years of service and for your distinct contributions that help make this institution exceptional. We are truly thankful for your commitment and continued dedication to our students, faculty, staff and alumni.”

President Christopher L. Eisgruber joined Riddick on stage to thank honorees personally. “This event is always one of my favorites to attend. It gives me the opportunity to thank you, honorees, for your outstanding service to Princeton,” Eisgruber said.

Among those recognized were six recipients of the President’s Achievement Award (PAA), established in 1997 to honor support and administrative staff with five or more years of service who have made significant contributions through their dedication and performance. Each PAA recipient received a framed certificate and $2,500 award.

Two employees also received the Donald Griffin ’23 Management Award from Human Resources—a $2,500 grant supporting participation in educational or professional conferences designed to foster new skills or perspectives relevant to their roles.

Employees celebrating milestone anniversaries each received a certificate featuring an engraving by Michael Graves; those with over 25 years could select gifts from Hamilton Jewelers’ special collection. The combined total represented was over 10,000 years of service among all honorees.

The luncheon is an annual tradition organized by Princeton’s Office of Human Resources that brings together hundreds of employees each spring.
