Senator Anthony M. Bucco has announced that the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) will send a mobile unit to Madison in January 2026. The initiative is designed to offer local residents services such as issuing REAL ID, renewing driver licenses and non-driver IDs, renewing car registrations, and replacing vehicle titles and registrations.

Residents with expiring licenses can renew their license or ID and obtain a REAL ID during one appointment.

“I am proud to partner with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) to bring essential services directly to our community, providing our residents with convenient access to important driver and vehicle services,” said Senator Bucco.

Madison Mayor Robert H. Conley expressed appreciation for the event, stating: “We thank Senator Bucco for selecting Madison for the MVC Mobile Unit. With the REAL ID required for travel and the fact that the nearest agency is almost 30 minutes away, the residents of Madison and the neighboring communities will certainly appreciate the unit in town to take care of license and registration needs.”

The NJMVC Mobile Unit Event will be held from January 20 through January 23, 2026 at the Madison Municipal Building located at 50 Kings Road in Madison, NJ. Appointments can be booked starting December 30th at 11:00 a.m. on the NJMVC website. Residents are encouraged to book early due to limited availability.

Further details about documentation requirements are available on the MVC website at nj.gov/mvc.
