TCNJ’s Nick Koch has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office on Monday.

Koch delivered strong performances during two games at the Jay Bilas Classic in Charlotte. He averaged 24.5 points and 6.0 assists over the weekend. In a Friday night game, Koch scored a season-high 33 points, collected seven rebounds, and provided seven assists as TCNJ defeated Denison 76-66. Denison entered the contest ranked 24th in the NPI. Koch played all 40 minutes, shooting 10-of-21 from the field, including four three-pointers on eight attempts, and made nine out of ten free throws. He also recorded three steals.

In TCNJ’s following game against Emory, which is ranked seventh nationally, Koch contributed 16 points and five assists in 37 minutes of play. Over both games, he averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and had only five turnovers compared to twelve assists.

Koch currently ranks ninth among all active Division III men’s basketball players in both career points (1,434) and career assists (320).

“Koch played like royalty over the weekend in the Queen City, averaging 24.5 points and 6.0 assists in a pair of high-profile games at the Jay Bilas Classic in Charlotte,” stated the release. “The senior star poured in a season-high 33 points alongside seven rebounds and seven assists to carry the Lions to an impressive 76-66 victory over a Denison squad that came in ranked 24th in the NPI.”
